Shemshak (also Shemshak Persian شمشک) is a winter sports area northeast of Tehran in the Elburs Mountains . It is located at an altitude of 2550 to 3050 meters 55 km from the metropolis and 10 km from Dizin .

After Dizin, this is the second largest ski area in the country. It was put into operation in 1958. The place has two main slopes and has two chair lifts, five drag lifts and a floodlight system for night skiing.

While Dizin is more suitable as a ski resort for beginners and the intermediate ski level, Schemschak is a ski resort for advanced skiers with steep slopes and mogul slopes . Due to the heavy snowfall and the dry air, the snow quality is particularly good here.

With two hotels and four restaurants, Schemschak is more of a quiet ski resort.
