Sepidān ( Persian سپيدان), also Ardakān-e Fārs ( Persian اردكان فارس) Is a city and an administrative district in the province of Fars in Iran . It is located about 100 km northwest of Shiraz . In 2012 the administrative district had a population of 92,252.

Sepidān, whose name means "white land", is located near one of the best ski resorts in southern Iran. The beauty of the landscape combined with the mild summer climate makes the city a popular destination for ecotourism . The Morghak waterfall, the Tschesch-Pir lake, numerous forests and rivers can be found here . The affluent population of Shiraz also has their second home and gardens here.

The melt water of the snow soaks many springs, the water of which is sold as mineral water . There are numerous vineyards in the immediate vicinity of the city.

The city has 13 mosques .
