Since 2008 Marc Lemaire has been active as a grass skier in addition to alpine skiing. He is in a training community with the TV Floß and trains there with the German grass skier Franz Seiz . In the Germany Cup, Marc Lemaire achieved third place overall in 2008 and fourth in 2009 in the men's age group (30 years and older). In July 2009 he took part in World Cup races for the first time in Čenkovice, Czech Republic . However, he was unsuccessful in these two slaloms: he was eliminated in the first and disqualified in the second. He did not contest any other World Cup races in the 2009 season , but he was the only athlete for Belgium to take part in the 2009 World Cup in Rettenbach, Austria. There he scored 26th in the slalom, 31st in the super combined and 48th in the super-G, only placements in the bottom field and failed in the giant slalom. In the 2010 season Marc Lemaire took part in two races in the German Cup in the FIS and World Cup slaloms in Faistenau . While he was disqualified in the FIS slalom, he reached the 17th place in the World Cup slalom as the penultimate and thus won his first and so far only World Cup points, making him 53rd in the overall World Cup. In the 2011 and 2012 seasons Lemaire did not take part in any grass ski competitions.
