Linda Göldner (born May 4, 1993 ) is a German grass skier . She became Junior World Champion in giant slalom in 2012 , won another five silver medals at Junior World Championships and in 2009 the overall ranking of the German Cup . In the 2010 season she started in the World Cup for the first time .

Career

In the German Cup, Göldner achieved good performances early on. As early as 2004, the then eleven-year-old achieved third place in the overall ranking. In the following two years she came fourth in the overall standings and in 2007 she achieved third place overall with her first race win. In 2008, with a total of eight second places, she also came second in the overall standings, and in 2009 she won the German Cup for the first time with five wins and four second places. In 2010 she finished third with three wins and second overall with five wins in 2011. In 2012, she went without a win, finishing fourth in the overall standings.

On May 31st and June 1st, 2008 Göldner contested her first FIS races in Altenseelbach . In the starting field of only seven runners, she finished fourth in the giant slalom and sixth in the slalom. Their first major international event was the Junior World Championship 2008 in July / August in Rieden . Here she was only at the start in the giant slalom and only came in sixth as the last of the rated runners. Göldner drove her next FIS races in June 2009 in Urnäsch . Here, too, she came in last place with fifth place in the slalom and seventh place in the giant slalom. However, she achieved good performance at the 2009 Junior World Championships in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , where she won two silver medals in the Super-G and the Super Combined. At the Junior World Cup 2010 in Dizin in Iran they did not participate.

Göldner made her world cup debut on August 22nd, 2010 in the Faistenau slalom . However, she was disqualified after a goal error in the first run. She drove another World Cup slalom on August 7, 2011 in Předklášteří , but she was not included in this race either. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Goldingen , Göldner won the silver medal in the Super-G behind Barbara Míková from Slovakia . In all other competitions, however, she was eliminated. In the 2012 season Göldner did not take part in any World Cup races, but she celebrated great success again at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Burbach : She became Junior World Champion in giant slalom and took second place in both Super-G and Super Combined, behind the Czech Adéla Kettnerová . In the slalom she was disqualified after a goal error in the first round.
