The 1982/83 season was the 49th season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . Champion became the seventh time in the history of the HC Bozen .

mode

Initially, the eight teams played a common main round. The six best-placed teams qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. The results from the main round between teams qualified for the final round have been adopted into this. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
