The 1948 season was the 15th season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . The Hockey Club Milano became champions for the tenth time in the club's history.

The winners of three main round groups competed against each other in a qualifying round. The winner played against SG Cortina, which was seeded for the semifinals. The winner of the semi-final was allowed to play against HC Milano, who was seeded for the final.
