Andrea Ambrosi (born March 7, 1987 in Trento ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Hockey Pergine Sapiens in the Italian Serie B since 2015 as a defender.

Career

Ambrosi began his career as an ice hockey player at Asiago Hockey , for whose first team he was active in Serie A1 from 2005 to 2007, in 2005/06 he was temporarily loaned to the then second division club HC Valpellice . The defender then received a contract with SG Pontebba for the 2007/08 season , but was loaned to the second-rate All Stars Piedmont from Turin in 2007/08 and to the third-rate AS Varese Hockey for individual games in 2008/09 . By 2011 he had played 153 Serie A1 games for Pontebba and won the Italian Cup with the team in 2008. After making his debut for the Italian national team in 2010, he was signed by the Italian record champions HC Bozen for the 2011/12 season . With the South Tyroleans, he immediately won the Italian championship and also the Supercup against SG Cortina . After one year each at HC Valpellice and Ritten Sport , with whom he won the Coppa Italia in 2015, he moved to the second division Hockey Pergine Sapiens in 2015 , for whom he has played since then. In the 2015/16 season he was also used by the first division Asiago Hockey.

International

For Italy, Ambrosi already played in the U18 national team at the 2005 World Cup and in the U20 selection at the 2007 World Cup in Division I. In 2010 he made his debut in the senior Italian team, for which he has played 19 international matches so far and with the he returned to the top division at the 2013 World Cup .
