He then got a contract with VIK Västerås HK , for which he spent three years in the Elitserien before he failed in the 2000/01 season with Färjestad BK only in the playoff final at Djurgårdens IF . The goalkeeper then moved to other European countries for the first time, where he stood between the posts for the Augsburg Panthers in the German Ice Hockey League for three seasons .

In summer 2004 Eriksson was signed by HC Milano Vipers from the Italian Serie A , with which he won the national championship in 2005 and 2006 respectively . In addition, the Swede was successful with the Lombards in 2005 in the Coppa Italia and 2006 in the Supercoppa Italiana . After starting the 2006/07 season again at HC Milano Vipers, he moved to EC Red Bull Salzburg during the season , with whom he became Austrian champions .

Eriksson spent the 2007/08 season entirely in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen with the Odense Bulldogs and Sønderjysk Elitesport . The following season he started at HK Junost Minsk in the Belarusian extra league and finished it in his Swedish homeland at IF Björklöven from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan . Eriksson then went on the ice for the Swedish third division clubs Mörrums GoIS IK and Nacka HK . In February 2011, Eriksson was hired by HC Gherdëina from the A2 series as goalkeeping coach and in an emergency as goalkeeper.
