Joseph Paul Jensen (born February 6, 1983 in Maple Grove , Minnesota ) is a former American ice hockey player who worked for HC Pustertal in the Italian A1 series and the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins and Albany River Rats in the American Hockey League was active.
Career
Joe Jensen began his career as a hockey player with the Sioux Falls Stampede, for which he was active from 2000 to 2002 in the United States Hockey League . He then played for the St. Cloud State University team for four years . During this period he was selected in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft in the eighth round as a total of 232 players by the Pittsburgh Penguins , for which he never played.
Instead, the attacker ran for a year and a half for their farm teams , the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins from the American Hockey League and the Wheeling Nailers from the ECHL , before he was given to the Carolina Hurricanes on January 31, 2008 in exchange for David Gove . For the Hurricanes, he made his debut in the National Hockey League during the 2007-08 season , with the left-shooter scoring one goal in six games. In the 2008/09 season , Jensen came exclusively for Carolina's AHL farm team, the Albany River Rats . After more than a year off (severe concussion after an accident with the team bus), he signed a contract with HC Pustertal from the Italian A1 series in August 2010 . In the early summer of 2011, he extended his contract for another year in Pustertal, ultimately staying with the Wolves until 2013. In the 2013/14 season he let his career with the Nottingham Panthers end in the EIHL before it ended in January 2014.
