Doroschny ( Russian Дорожный , German  Sandlauken, Koenigsberg district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Doroschny is ten kilometers north of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) west of the Kaliningrad – Zelenogradsk – Pionersky (Königsberg – Cranz – Neukuhren) railway and can be reached from Orlowka Nesselbeck on the regional road 27A-001 (ex A191 ) via a spur road. The next train station is the halt (Russian: ostanowotschny dot) "Op 7 km" (until 1945 Nesselbeck ).

Before 1945, the place then called Sandlauken consisted only of a large courtyard. In 1874 the small town to come District Trutenau (Russian: Medwedewka) used for district Königsberg (Prussia) to 1945, from 1939 district Samland in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.

On September 29, 1891, Sandlauken was incorporated into the Trutenau estate and on March 18, 1922, as a district of Trutenau west of the Königsberg – Cranz railway line, it was now part of the rural community of Neuhof (Russian: Timofejewka, no longer exists today).

In 1945 Sandlauken came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . The place was given the Russian name Doroschny in 1950 and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Matrossowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came into the Kutusowski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Dorozhny belonged to the rural municipality of Kutuzovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Before 1945 the population of Sandlauen was predominantly Protestant and belonged to the parish of the parish church in Quednau (today Russian: Severnaya Gora, belonging to the city of Kaliningrad) in the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Doroschny is in the catchment area of ​​the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) , which was newly built in the 1990s , the main church of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
