Doroschnoje ( Russian Дорожное , German  Altenberg (East Prussia) ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Doroschnoje is located on the southern outskirts of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on the municipal road 27K-089, which connects the oblast capital with Swetloje (Kobbelbude) (former German Reichsstrasse 126 ). The next train station is Dzerzhinskaya-Novaya on the Kaliningrad – Bagrationovsk railway line , part of the former East Prussian Southern Railway .

The village once called Altenberg (with estate) was incorporated into the then newly established district of Aweiden (today Russian: Juschny, in the urban area of ​​Kaliningrad). He belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (from 1939 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 214 people lived here.

When the Aweiden district was dissolved, Altenberg came to the Gollau district on May 14, 1930 (today in Russian: Poddubnoje), but remained in the same district. The population was 253 in 1939.

After the Second World War , Altenberg came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Dorozhnoye and was assigned to the village soviet Zwetkowski selski Sowet in Kaliningrad Raion at the same time . Later the place came to the Novomoskowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Dorozhnoye belonged to the rural municipality of Novomoskowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

The predominantly Protestant population of Altenberg belonged to the Ludwigswalde parish until 1945 (today in Russian: Lesnoje). It was part of the church district Königsberg-Land I in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Doroschnoje is in the catchment area of ​​the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
