Prawdino ( Russian Правдино , German Thiemsdorf, Koenigsberg / Samland district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .
Geographical location
Prawdino is located 24 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on a side road east of the municipal road 27K-053 from Gurjewsk (Neuhausen) to Kaschirskoje (Schaaksvitte) on the Curonian Lagoon . Until 1945, the Schaaken Church (today Russian: Schemtschuschnoje) was the next station on the Prawten – Schaaksvitte (Lomnossowo – Kaschirskoje) railway line of the Königsberg small railway . Today there is no longer a train connection.
history
The place, called Thiemsdorf until 1946, was incorporated into the Schaaken district (Russian: Nekrassowo) between 1874 and 1945 and belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 Samland district ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1945 Thiemsdorf came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Pravdino and was assigned to the village soviet Kaschirski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . In 1954 the place came to the Marschalski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Pravdino belonged to the rural community Khrabrowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Until 1945 the population of Thiemsdorf was almost exclusively of Protestant denomination. The village was parish in the parish of Schaaken with the parish seat in the church of Schaaken (Russian: Schemtschuschnoje), which belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Prwadino is in the catchment area of the newly formed Evangelical Lutheran parish in Marschalskoje (Gallgarben) . It is a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) , the main church of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
