Tschaikino ( Russian Чайкино , German Rinau ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .
Geographical location
Tschaikino is located 24 kilometers northeast of the Oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on the municipal road 27K-070 between Uslowoje ( (Royal) Neuendorf ) and Dobrino (Nautzken) on the regional road 27A-024 (ex A190 ). In Tschaikino the municipal road 27K-402 branches off to Liski (Kingitten), two kilometers away . The nearest train station is Dobrino on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk railway line (Königsberg – Tilsit) .
history
The Gutsdorf formerly called Rinau was founded in 1258. From 1874 to 1928 it was the seat and eponymous place of the district of Rinau and belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) in the district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1910 there were 361 inhabitants in Rinau. On September 30, 1928, Rinau lost its independence and was incorporated into Kropiens (today in Russian: Gajewo). At the same time, the Rinau district, which until then only consisted of the Rinau estate, was dissolved.
In 1945 Rinau came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Tschaikino and was assigned to the village soviet Saliwenski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came into the Marschalski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Tschaikino belonged to the rural municipality of Khrabrovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Until 1945, almost without exception, was Protestant population Rinaus in the parish Post nod (now Russian: Saliwnoje) the parish and was therefore the church district Königsberg Country II in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches .
Today Tschaikino is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Marschalskoje (Gallgarben) , which was newly founded in the 1990s and is a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . It is assigned to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
