Wessjolowka ( Russian Весёловка , German  Sielkeim ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Wessjolowka is located northeast of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the eastern tip of the Gurjewsk Rajon . The municipal road 27K-072 leads through the village from Saretschje (Kaymen) to Ossinowka (Stampelken) . The nearest train station is Dobrino (Nautzken) on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk (Koenigsberg – Tilsit) line .

history

The village, called Sielkeim until 1946, dates back to before 1375 in its foundation.

Between 1874 and 1945 Sielkeim was incorporated into the Kaymen district (1938–1946 Kaimen , today Russian: Saretschje) and belonged to the Labiau district in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , Sielkeim came to the Soviet Union due to its location in northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Vessjolowka and was assigned to the village soviet Dobrinski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Vessjolowka belonged to the rural municipality Dobrinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gurjewsk.
