Prokhorovka ( Russian Прохоровка , German Fünflinden ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .
Geographical location
Prokhorovka is located 13 kilometers east of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on the municipal road 27K-379 via Krasnoye (Wolfsdorf) to Kaschtanowka (goose pitcher) on the municipal road 27K-031 (old route of the federal road A229 ). There is no train connection.
history
The village called Fünflinden until 1946 was formed on October 19, 1907 from the Fünflinden manor as the Fünflinden manor district . It belonged to the district of Groß Legden (today Russian: Dobroje) in the district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1910, 100 inhabitants were registered in Fünflinden. In 1925 their number was 75.
On September 30, 1928 the manor district Fünflinden merged with the rural community Tromitten (no longer existing today) to form the new rural community Fünflinden. On April 1, 1937, the community lost its independence and was incorporated into Mantau (Russian: Jastrebki, no longer existing).
In 1945 Fünflinden came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Prokhorovka and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Nisowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Prokhorovka belonged to the rural municipality Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Fünflinden with its almost exclusively Protestant population was parish up until 1945 in the parish of the Arnau Church (today in Russian: Rodniki). It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Arthur Brodowski .
Today Prokhorovka is located in the catchment area of the New Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg), which was built in the 1990s in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
