action

The gang of crooks around Paul Schäfer, his son Max, Erich, Oskar, Amelie and Nelly relieved the rich Jafari with a trick of three million dollars, which they supposedly want to clean up for him. They let him deposit the money in a closed bank branch that they have set up as a functioning branch. Jafari insists that the money be locked in the bank's safe. Max closes the safe and the group stands there perplexed, as none of them know the safe combination. There is an argument between father and son and the rest of the group is annoyed.

Amelie meets her former accomplice Lotte again and tells her about the constant quarrels between Paul and Max. Lotte suggests that both of them enter into a competition that they do not recognize. You are supposed to steal a supposedly valuable book from a middleman. This will be in the city in a few days. Whoever can take the book first wins and has the say in the group in the future. Amelie makes the suggestion to the others and they agree. Max and Paul are put on the book and both find out about the friends who are controlled by Nelly, Kläffer and a man at the horse race, in which hotel the informant Löb is staying. The man's room is heavily guarded and so Paul tries to get into the room via the balcony. Meanwhile, Max has set off a fire alarm. In the crush that followed, he was able to steal the book from a man coming out of the room. Paul has not noticed anything and looks for the book in the hotel room. In the bathtub he finds a man's body; a little later the police appear and arrest him for murder.

The group realizes that Lotte played wrong. It actually came down to the book that Max has meanwhile transferred to his favorite steward, but can get again. In the back cover, the group finds print films for euro bills, the future Austrian currency. They enable the printing of perfect flowers and were created by the murdered person. He turns out to be Gerry Blum, the king of forgers. His two brothers Theo and David, in turn, are now not only interested in the printing foils, but also in the identity of the murderer. They use a trick to get Peter out of prison, who promises under duress to deliver both the foils and the real killer in 48 hours. Paul, in turn, goes to the chief inspector of the police and suggests a deal to which she agrees.

The group locates Lotte's printing warehouse, who already has the printing foils for one side of the notes. With the new printing foils, the group creates some complete blossoms and brings them to the Blum brothers. In addition, they let the fence, Schwitzer, testify that Lotte's partner Springer, from whom Max had stolen the book at the time, took the printing foils without Lotte's knowledge. The Blum brothers pass one of the flowers on to Lotte in order to make it clear to her that Springer has been deceived. Since Jafari wants his money, the group is under pressure. As supposed Arabs, they attack Springer and offer him a deal: He receives the printing foils for three million. The place and time of the handover agree with the information that Jafari received from the group for the handover of the money. The Blum brothers and Lotte are also initiated into the time. All appear in the same place at the same time. Jafari believes he will get his money back and is horrified when he suddenly sees euro bills instead of dollars. Springer believes she will receive the slides, while Lotte believes Springer is doing business behind her back. Before everyone can attack each other, Paul appears and explains that they have all fallen into a trap. The police storm the building and arrest everyone. Paul's deal with the chief inspector worked, even if she thinks the group is getting too well out of it.

Later the group sits happily at dinner, but the argument between Paul and Max starts again. However, the group still gets the three million dollars locked in the safe: When the branch is demolished, Erich appears with an excavator and takes the entire torn out safe in the excavator shovel.
