Andrea Jonasson (born June 29, 1942 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; born Andrea Stumpf ) is a German actress .

Life

Andrea Karina, the daughter of Wolfgang Stumpf and sister of Isabel Stumpf , took lessons at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and began in 1962 as an apprentice at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. This was followed by an engagement at the theater of the city of Heidelberg , where she worked until 1966. Then she was part of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zurich . Guest performances have taken her to the Salzburg Festival , the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Thalia Theater there , the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and other Italian theaters.

In 1973 she met the actor, director and artistic director Giorgio Strehler at the Salzburg Festival , whom she married in 1981. As a result, she often played under his direction. From 1974 to 1998 she was part of the Burgtheater ensemble .

The chamber actress Andrea Jonasson took over roles in film and television again and again. She plays the Christine Duchess of Stoneham in the television series The Prince and the Girl . Since 1997 she has been involved in the aid organization Menschen für Menschen by Karlheinz Böhm . She lives and plays mainly in Italy and has also been seen at the Schauspielhaus Graz , Volkstheater Wien and the Theater in der Josefstadt in recent years .
