Banco de Seguros del Estado
The Banco de Seguros del Estado is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .
The building, inaugurated in 1940, is located in the Barrio Centro on Calle Mercedes 1051 and Avenida Libertador Brig. Gral. Juan A. Lavalleja , Avenida Uruguay and Río Negro . Ítalo Dighiero and Beltrán Arbeleche were responsible as architects of the Banco de Seguros del Estado, which was conceived as an office building . The building serves as the headquarters of the state insurance company Banco de Seguros del Estado (BSE).
Since 1995 the building has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal .
