Reichsgaue :

The Reichsstraße 104 ( R 104 ) was a Reichsstraße until 1945 , which led from Lübeck in an easterly direction via Schwerin ( State of Mecklenburg ) and Stettin ( Province of Pomerania ) to the then German-Polish border near Schneidemühl (now Polish: Piła). Their total length was 465 kilometers.

A little more than half of the old R 104 still runs as the 104 federal highway between Lübeck and the current German-Polish border near Stettin . At Linken (D) and Lubieszyn ( Neu Linken ) (PL) there is a border crossing point , so that the former R 104 now continues on the Polish state road Droga krajowa 10 (DK 10). The DK 10 continues the old R 104 to Piła ( Schneidemühl ), but does not end here, but continues in an easterly direction to Płońsk near Warsaw .
