Since 1846 the estate belonged to the von Behr family and from 1866 to 1945 by marriage to the Counts of Bassewitz- Behr. In 1876 the neo-Gothic castle was built. After 1945 the mansion was used as a company vocational school for the Deutsche Reichsbahn until 1991. After that, it stood empty for a few years until it was sold in 2005 and renovated by the new owner in accordance with a listed building.

coat of arms
Blazon : "Under a green wave shield head, inside two diagonally crossed golden swords, in gold a double-stemmed green oak growing out of the lower edge, covered with a golden triangular shield, inside a slanted four-lobed black scaling ladder."
The coat of arms and the flag were designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick . It was approved together with the flag on December 15, 2010 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under the no. 334 of the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the head of the wave shield should indicate the location of the municipality in the source area of the shields. The crossed swords are a reminder of the battle of parts of the Lützow Freikorps under the leadership of Major Adolf Freiherr von Lützow (1782–1834) against the escort of a French ammunition transport near Rosenow on August 26, 1813, in which the Major's adjutant, the poet and playwright Theodor Körner (1791–1813) fell. The double-stemmed oak stands on the one hand for the so-called wonder oak in Lützow, to which miraculous healing powers are attributed in traditional legends. On the other hand, it refers to the wooded area around Lützow. The triangular shield is intended to express the connection between the von Lützow family and the historical development of the Lützow estate. The number of rungs on the ladder also symbolizes the four districts of the community. |
flag
The flag is striped lengthways in yellow and green. The yellow stripe takes up a third and the green stripe takes up two thirds of the height of the flag cloth. In the middle of the flag, which is half the height of the yellow stripe and three quarters of the height of the green stripe, is the municipal coat of arms. The relation of the height of the flag cloth to the length is like 3: 5.
