The Lützow-Lübstorf Office is located in the south of the Northwest Mecklenburg district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). 15 municipalities have come together in this office to carry out their administrative business. The administrative seat is in the municipality of Lützow .

On January 1, 2005, the Lützow-Lübstorf office was formed by merging the Lützow and Lübstorf / Alt Meteln offices. On June 7th, 2009 Badow and Renzow merged to form the new community Badow-Renzow (on October 1st, 2009 name changed to Schildenal ).

The official area extends in a wide arc to the west and north of the state capital Schwerin . It extends from the north-west bank of the Schweriner See (with the island of Lieps ) to the upper shield , near the Schaalsee biosphere reserve . In addition to the Schilde, the Stepenitz also flows through the official area . The highest elevation in the office is 95.7  m above sea level. NHN of at Brüsewitz preferred Huttersberg .

In addition to agriculture, tourism in particular is playing an increasing role on Lake Schwerin. The proximity to the city of Schwerin makes many municipalities in the office attractive as a green space to live.

The federal highway 104 (from Schwerin to Lübeck ) and the federal highway 106 (from Wismar to Schwerin) as well as railway lines to and from Schwerin run through the Lützow-Lübstorf office .

The office does not have an officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "AMT LÜTZOW-LÜBSTORF • LANDKREIS NORDWESTMECKLENBURG".
