Krusenhagen is a municipality in the northeast of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The municipality is administered by the Neuburg office with its seat in the municipality of the same name .

geography

The municipality of Krusenhagen borders directly on the Hanseatic city of Wismar in the south and the east coast of the Wismar Bay in the west .

Krusenhagen is surrounded by the neighboring communities Blowatz in the north, Neuburg in the east, Hornstorf in the southeast and Wismar in the southwest.

The districts of Gagzow and Hof Redentin belong to Krusenhagen.

history

The oldest place in the municipality is today's Hof Redentin - a former monastery property of the Doberan Monastery - it first appeared in a document in 1192. The Redentiner Easter game was written here in 1464 .

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities Gagzow and Redentin, Hof (also Hof Redentin) were incorporated.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE KRUSENHAGEN • LANDKREIS NORDWESTMECKLENBURG".

Transport links

Due to its proximity to Wismar, the community is well connected to the national transport networks (federal highways 105 , 106 and 208 , federal highways 20 and 14 as well as rail lines to Rostock , Schwerin and Lübeck ).
