Roduchelstorf is a municipality in the west of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The community is administered by the office of Schönberger Land with its seat in the city of Schönberg .

geography

The community Roduchelstorf is located approx. 15 kilometers east of Lübeck . The hilly area around the municipality, the heights up to 55 m above sea level. Reached NN, is limited by the rivers Maurine and Radegast .

Roduchelstorf is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Menzendorf in the north, Grieben in the northeast, Rehna in the south, Siemz-Niendorf in the southwest and Schönberg in the northwest.

The Cordshagen district belongs to Roduchelstorf.

history

The place name appears for the first time in a document in 1237. The former border between Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz ran through today's municipality until 1933.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities Cordshagen, Rabensdorf and Rabensdorf, Hof (also Hof Rabensdorf) were incorporated.

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE RODUCHELSTORF • LANDKREIS NORDWESTMECKLENBURG".

• The oldest farmhouse in Mecklenburg , from 1616 , which - restored true to the original - is still inhabited as a smoke house .

Economy and Infrastructure

In addition to small service companies, agriculture plays an important role in the area's surroundings. During the construction of the A 20 near Roduchelstorf, 1800-year-old settlement remains and a Slavic grave were found.

Transport links

The A 20 ( Lübeck  - Wismar ) passes Roduchelstorf immediately to the north, and the junction ( Schönberg ) is to the west of the exit from the town . The B 104 (Lübeck - Schwerin ) runs through the community . The nearest train station is in Schönberg, a few kilometers to the north ( Lübeck – Bad Kleinen railway line ).
