history
Groß Salitz: A church with the other places belonging to the then parish was mentioned in 1230 in the Ratzeburg tithe register , which lists the localities belonging to the diocese of Ratzeburg according to parishes . The existing church of St. Marien in Groß Salitz dates from around 1280. The estate was owned by the von Lützow families from the beginning of the 14th century until 1945 . The large manor house dates from the 18th century, the large extension from 1936.
Radegast is first listed in the Isfried partition contract of 1194. A partial battle of the Battle of Gadebusch took place here in 1712 .
Krembz was mentioned in 1230 in the Ratzeburg tithe register under the Slavic name "Crampitz". In 1348 the fortress of the robber barons von Lützow was built in Krembz, which was destroyed in 1392 by Duke Erich von Sachsen Lauenburg. In 1791 the Duke bought four Krembzer Hufen, three of which belonged to Roggendorf and one to Groß Salitz. This made Krembz a purely domain village.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Alt Steinbeck, Neu Steinbeck, Radegast and Schönwolde were incorporated. Groß Salitz was added on January 1, 1999.
