Rosenow (Lützow)
Rosenow is a district of the municipality Lützow in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg .
In the forest of Rosenow, the writer Theodor Körner died on August 26, 1813 in a skirmish with Napoleon's troops . The Theodor Körner memorial commemorates the battle. The bronze portrait relief by the sculptor Wilhelm Wandschneider was attached and solemnly consecrated in 1913 as part of a celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of Körner's death. Körner was buried in Wöbbelin .
