history

Mildenitz was an estate village. From 1680 to 1945 the estate was owned by the von Schwerin family until it was expropriated in 1946. The initially single-storey classical manor house (manor house) was built around 1800 for Otto Alexander Graf von Schwerin and it was extended around 1850 and expanded with side wings. After 1945 it served as an after-work and nursing home.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community Carlslust was incorporated.

On July 1, 2006, the community of Groß Daberkow was incorporated into Mildenitz, and on January 1, 2015, Mildenitz was incorporated into the city of Woldegk. The last mayor was Sabine Runge.
