The National Highway 163 ( R 163 ) was to 1945, a state road of the German Reich . It ran in the Prussian province of Pomerania in a north-south direction and connected the cities of Naugard (now in Polish: Nowogard), Massow (Maszewo) and Stargard in Pomerania (Stargard). In terms of traffic, the R 163 provided a connection between the traffic arteries of Reichsstraße 2, which are so important for Pomerania ( Mittenwald - Nuremberg - Leipzig - Berlin - Stettin - Danzig -Dirschau ) in Naugard and Reichsstraße 158 (Berlin - Königsberg (Neumark) - Dramburg - Neustettin - Rummelsburg (Pomerania) - Lauenburg (Pomerania) ) in Stargard. In Stargard it also met Reichsstraße 104 , which ran from Lübeck via Neubrandenburg and Stettin led to Schneidemühl .

The total length of the R 163 was 41 kilometers.

Today the route of the former R 163 is a section of the Polish Droga wojewódzka 106 , which comes from Rzewnowo ( Revenow ) near Kamień Pomorski ( Cammin ) and Golczewo ( Gülzow ) and continues to Pyrzyce ( Pyritz ). The route section is now in the western part of West Pomerania Voivodeship .
