Automenes

Automenes ( Greek  Αὐτομένης ) from the family of Bakchiads was the last king of Corinth .

After Telestes was assassinated, Automenes took over the government of Corinth. Depending on the tradition, it is said to have ruled for one or four years. After that, the monarchy was replaced by the rule of the Prytans , who only ruled for one year at a time.
