Prytanen (Corinth)
The Prytans from the Bakchiad family ran the affairs of state for Automenes , the last king of Corinth , for 90 years. The Prytan , the chief official, was elected and ruled for one year at a time.
Kypselos eventually drove out the Bakchiads and took over the government as a tyrant .
