The National Highway 166 ( R 166 ) was to 1945, a state road of the German Reich . It led through the province of Brandenburg and connected Gramzow in West Brandenburg across the Oder with Zorndorf in East Brandenburg. At the same time it was an important link between the two imperial roads R 2 ( Schwedt / Oder ) and R 158 ( Königsberg in der Neumark ), which are so important for the route to the province of Pomerania , to which they also transport traffic from the imperial roads R 198 (Gramzow) and R 112 (Zorndorf) drove.
The R 166 had a total length of 84 kilometers.
The first section of the R 166 is today transferred to the federal highway 166 , which today no longer begins in Gramzow, but at the newly created motorway triangle Kreuz Uckermark of the federal highway 11 ( Berlin ↔ Stettin ) and federal highway 20 (direction Greifswald - Lübeck ). The remainder of the section is now in the national territory of Poland and is accessed by the Polish state roads Droga krajowa 26 (DK 26) and Droga krajowa 31 (DK 31). Here the old route leads through the western West Pomeranian Voivodeship .
