Kay Ivey, Lieutenant Governor of Alabama from 2011 to 2017

The office of lieutenant governor ( Lieutenant Governor ) in the US state of Alabama was created by the state constitution of 1867, abolished by the state constitution of 1875 and only reintroduced by the state constitution of 1901. The lieutenant governor is elected by the people in a separate election (not on a so-called ticket together with the governor).
