List of lieutenant governors of Hawaii

Since the founding of the US state Hawaii in 1959, twelve people have held the office of lieutenant governor . The state constitution restricts the term of office to a maximum of eight years. The lieutenant governor assumes the duties of the governor if he is outside the state. The lieutenant governor is elected as the governor's running mate along with the governor.
