List of lieutenant governors of Florida
The office of lieutenant governor was first established in the US state of Florida in 1865, but abolished in 1889 after a constitutional amendment. Since 1969 the constitution of the state provides for this position as deputy governor again . The lieutenant governor is elected as the governor's running mate along with the governor.
The Republican Jeanette Núñez has been Deputy Governor since January 2019, making her Deputy Governor Ron DeSantis .
