List of Lieutenant Governors of Utah

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The office of Lieutenant Governor ( lieutenant governor ) exists in the US state of Utah only since 1976. As Deputy Governor had previously the Secretary of State acts. This office was abolished with the state constitution of 1976; Utah is one of three states in which this post is waived. As a result, all duties performed by the Secretary of state in other states are the responsibility of the Vice-Governor. He is also responsible for overseeing all elections from local to state levels in Utah.
