Nathan Lee Miller

Nathan Lee Miller (born March 6, 1866 in Danville , Morgan County , Alabama , † July 7, 1934 ) was an American politician .

Miller's education began in Danville High School . Later, he attended the State Normal College in Florence before he at the Bellevue Academy in Birmingham the law studied. Between 1889 and 1891 he served in the Alabama State Troops , where he held the rank of lieutenant . He then earned his living as a city secretary in the Birmingham Court until 1898. In 1897 he was admitted to the bar.

From the 1890s onwards, Miller became politically active. In 1890 he became secretary of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party in Jefferson County ; In 1894 he assumed the same post at the state level. Miller reached his political climax in 1918, when he was elected to lieutenant governor of Alabama on November 5 . He held this office until 1923.
