The Uckermark motorway triangle (also Uckermark motorway triangle ; abbreviation: AD Uckermark ; short form: Uckermark triangle ) is a motorway junction in Brandenburg near Prenzlau . It connects the federal highway 11 ( Stettin - Berlin ; Europastraße 28 ) with the federal highway 20 (Baltic Sea highway ) before it becomes the federal highway 166 .

geography

The triangle lies on the municipal areas of Gramzow and Uckerfelde in the Uckermark district . The closest districts are Hohengüstow , Lützlow , Neu-Kleinow and Falkenwalde . It is located around 100 kilometers northeast of Berlin, around 40 kilometers southwest of Stettin and around 30 kilometers south of Pasewalk .

It is located in the Brandenburg countryside Uckermark , after the triangle is named. The border between Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the border to Poland runs nearby .

Not far from the triangle is the Uckermark Lakes Nature Park , the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve and the Lower Oder Valley National Park .

The Uckermark motorway triangle has junction number 5 on the A 11 and number 39 on the A 20.

Design and state of development

Both motorways have four lanes. All connecting ramps are single-track.

The cross was created as an adapted shamrock.

The naming is due to the fact that the A 11 and A 20 motorways form a triangle, but if you look at the course of the B 166, there is a cross: the A 20 / B 166 cross the A 11.

Traffic volume

The Uckermark motorway triangle, with around 21,000 vehicles per day, is one of the least frequented traffic hubs in Germany.
