Falkenwalde is a district of the municipality of Uckerfelde in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg . It is located 14 kilometers from Prenzlau on the federal highway 198 .

history
There are sites from the Neolithic Age in the area of the village . In the early Middle Ages there was a Slavic settlement. In 1375 Valkenworde was first mentioned in the Land Book of the Mark Brandenburg .
Since 1817 it has belonged to the Prenzlau district in the province of Brandenburg , since 1952 to the Prenzlau district in the Neubrandenburg district .
Since 1993 Falkenwalde was an independent municipality in the district of Uckermark, since December 31, 2001 it belongs to the municipality of Uckerfelde.
