Wozławki (German Wusslack ) is a village in the Polish municipality of Bisztynek in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
geography
The Pisa , a tributary of the Narew, flows through the village .
history
The place is mentioned for the first time in 1357. One of the sights is the listed church of the place, which was originally built in the years 1370-1380. Its tower dates from the second half of the 15th century. The baroque interior was created in the late 1720s, the time when Canon Gottfried Heinrich zu Eylenburg was pastor there. The place belonged to the Kingdom of Poland until 1772 and then went to Prussia for 160 years . After Prussia lost its autonomy as a result of the Prussian strike in 1932 and subsequently during the National Socialist era , the place came under Soviet occupation after the end of World War II . The formerly German population was expelled and replaced by Poles .
After the village was initially completely depopulated in January 1945, the number of inhabitants increased again to 880 people by 2007.
education
The former barracks in Bisztynek were abandoned as a primary school in the late 1940s and by 1950 already had 500 students from all over the area.
