The Droga krajowa 69 (short DK69 , pol. For, national road 69 'respectively, national road 69') was to 4 August 2016 country road in Poland . It currently runs on two sections from Bielsko-Biała to Milówka and represents an important connecting axis in Polish road traffic . The total length is 27.4 kilometers. The first section from Bielsko-Biała to Żywiec is 16.3 km and the second from Przybędza to Milówka 11.1 km. In its original route as a continuous road between Bielsko-Biała and the Polish-Slovakian border near Zwardoń , the state road has now been replaced on some sections by the S69 expressway . Once the expressway is completed, it will disappear from the road network.

history

After the reorganization of the Polish road network in 1985, the section of today's road between Bielsko-Biała and Żywiec was assigned the state road 94. The section from Żywiec via Milówka to the state border near Zwardoń was classified as state road 944. With the reform of the numbering on May 9, 2001, the two sections were merged to form the new state road 69. With the realization of the S69 expressway , some sections of the state road were broken down into municipal roads. This happened in 2011 in the urban area of Bielsko-Biała, 2007 between Żywiec and Przybędza, 2008 between Milówka and Laliki and 2010 between Laliki and Zwardoń. Droga krajowa 69 has been part of Droga krajowa 1 since August 4, 2016 .
