history

Myto initially belonged to Sól , but over time it became more and more independent. Zwardoń has been on the maps since the 18th century. On November 3, 1884 the Żywiec - Čadca (SK) railroad and on June 1, 1894 the first post office was opened. The first school was founded in 1894, initially as a branch of the school in Sól, and since September 1, 1903 as an independent elementary school. Zwardoń had 124 inhabitants in 1889. After the First World War , the village developed into a well-known ski area. Around the 1930s, a mountain hut and a ski jump were built in Zwardoń. In 1940 several Polish families were expelled as part of the Saybusch campaign .
