Around 1870 the village expanded towards the south, the settlements Rycerka Górna and in 1883 Rycerka Kolonia emerged. The Żywiec - Čadca (SK) railway line, completed in 1884, and the construction of the Rycerka station resulted in an expansion towards the north.
