The Droga wojewódzka 942 ( DW 942 ) is a Polish provincial road , passing through the two provinces Silesia leads. It runs in a west-east direction and connects the places Wisła , Szczyrk , Buczkowice , Meszna , Bystra and Bielsko-Biała in the districts of Cieszyn and Bielsko . It runs along the upper reaches of the Żylica in the Silesian Beskids . To the west of the Przełęcz Salmopolska pass , it leads into the Vistula Valley . It is the southern extension of the S1 expressway from Katowice .
In addition, the DW 942 is a link between the S52 expressway in the north and Voivodship Road 941 in the south.
The Katowice – Zwardoń line partially runs along the DW 942 .
The total length of the DW 942 is 41 kilometers.
