Nikutowo [ nikuˈtɔvɔ ] ( German Nikutowen , 1938 to 1945 Niekuten ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Nikutowo is located on the southern edge of the district town Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ) on the northwest bank of the Jezioro Sutapie Wielkie in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The place has the same name as the village Osiedle Nikutowo on Jezioro Sutapie Małe in the urban area of Mrągowo, just a few hundred meters north .
history
The Nickutowen manor was founded in 1817 and was a residential area in the Mrągowo district until 1945 . Nikutowen thus belonged to the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (1905 to 1945: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On June 3 (officially confirmed on 16 July) 1938 the village was in "Niekuten" renamed . Since 1945 it belongs to Poland and is now the location of a Schulz Office ( Polish Sołectwo ) in the network of Gmina Mrągowo in mrągowo county until 1998, the Olsztyn Province (Olsztyn) , since the Warmia and Mazury belong.
church
In terms of church, Nikutowen (Niekuten) was assigned to the urban district of the evangelical parish church Sensburg in the church province of East Prussia, the church of the Old Prussian Union and the Roman Catholic Church of St. Adalbert Sensburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Even today, they are included in these two churches, now located in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Polish Catholic Church .
traffic
Nikutowo is not far from the Polish national roads DK 16 and DK 59, which run along a route, and can be easily reached from there via a cul-de-sac ( ulica Krótka in the town of Mrągowo). The Czerwonka – Ełk ( German Rothfließ – Lyck ) railway line on the northern edge of the village is no longer used, as is the case in the town of Mrągowo with the closest railway station to Nikutowen, which is now decoupled from rail traffic.
