Wola Muntowska [ ˈvɔla munˈtɔfska ] ( German  Muntowenwolla ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski (district Sensburg ).

Wola Muntowska is located north of the Ixtsee ( Polish Jezioro Juksty ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, three kilometers northeast of the district town of Mrągowo ( German  Sensburg ).

The then Muntowenwolla is said to have been founded between 1860 and 1870 and was a residential area of Neu Muntowen (until about 1928), von Muntowen (until 1938) and Muntau (until 1945). Thus it belonged to the district of Sensburg in the administrative district of Gumbinnen (from 1905: administrative district of Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1885 there were nine inhabitants, in 1898 there were 29.

Since 1945 the place bears the Polish name form "Wola Muntowska" and is incorporated into the village of Muntowo . She belongs to the association of Gmina Mrągowo (Town Sensburg ) in mrągowo county (Kreis Sensburg ) until 1998, the Olsztyn Province (Olsztyn) , since the Warmia and Mazury belong.

Ecclesiastically Muntowenwolla was assigned to the district town of Sensburg until 1945 . Even now there is a reference to the local Evangelical Trinity Parish Church and the Catholic St. Adalbert Parish Church in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Polish Catholic Church .

Wola Muntowska has no connection to rail transport. However, from the Polish state road 59 (former German Reichsstraße 140 ) a side road from Probark (Neu Proberg) via Czerwonki (Czerwanken , Rotenfelde from 1938 to 1945 ) leads directly into town.
