Krzesowo [ kʂɛ'sowo ], at times also Krzosowo [ kszo'sowo ] ( German Krzossowen , 1938 to 1945 Kreuzeck ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski (district Sensburg ).
Geographical location
Krzesowo is located in the southern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , seven kilometers south of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
The former Krzossowen originally only consisted of a small homestead and was founded in 1823 as an inheritance. Until 1945 it was a residential area in the municipality of Grabowo (Grabowen , 1938 to 1945 Grabenhof) in the Sensburg district and had six inhabitants in 1867, eight in 1885 and ten in 1905. In 1938 Krzossowen was foreign-sounding place names in "Kreuzeck" for political and ideological reasons of defense renamed .
The place has been in Poland since 1945 and bears the Polish name form "Krzesowo" (initially also "Krzosowo"). He is now a village within the Gmina Mrągowo (Town Sensburg ) in mrągowo county (Kreis Sensburg ) until 1998, the Olsztyn Province (Olsztyn) , since the Warmia and Mazury belong.

Until 1945 Krzossowen (Kreuzeck) was parish in Sensburg on both the Protestant and Catholic sides . While for the Protestant residents the connection to the district town continues, the Catholic church members now belong to the parish in Grabowo .
traffic
Krzesowo can be reached from the voivodship road 600 near Karwie (Karwen) , there is also a land route to the neighboring town of Krzywe (Krummendorf) . There is no rail link.
