Pełkowo [ pɛu̯ˈkɔvɔ ] ( German  Pelkshof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Pełkowo is east of the Ixtsee ( Polish Jezioro Juksty ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, six kilometers east of the district town of Mrągowo ( German  Sensburg ).

From Muntowo a side road leads to Użranki (Königshöhe , until 1881 Uzranken) , which runs through Pełkowo.

The small place called Pelkshof at the time consisted of a small farm in its origin. It was a residential area of the rural community Alt Muntowen, from around 1928 the rural community Muntowen ( Muntowo in Polish ) and from 1938 the community Muntau. Until 1945 he was part of the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1885 Pelkshof had 20 inhabitants, in 1898 19 inhabitants.

Since 1945 the place belongs to Poland and bears the Polish name form "Pełkowo". It is integrated into the village of Muntowo and is therefore part of the Gmina Mrągowo (rural municipality of Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn (Allenstein) voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship .

In terms of church, Pelkshof (now: Pełkowo) is oriented towards Mrągowo (Sensburg) and is now part of the Protestant parish church in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland and the Catholic parish church in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Polish Catholic Church .
