Głazowo [ ɡwaˈzɔvɔ ] ( German Neu Grabowen , 1938–1945 Neugrabenhof ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Głazowo is located in the southern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship in the south of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
There is a geographical difference of several kilometers between the Polish Głazowo and the German Neu Grabowen (Neu Grabenhof) , as Neu Grabowen is located further south-east on the northern edge of the Krummendorfer See ( Polish Jezioro Krzywe ) (= geographic location of Neu Grabowens / Neugrabenhof ).
history
The Glassowen mining facility was founded in 1833 as a large farm. With his later and 1 km further southwest to Brickyard was New Grabowen to 1945 a dwelling-place of the community Grabowen (1938-1945 Grabenhof , Polish Grabowo ); it was in the district of Sensburg in the Gumbinnen district (1905–1945 Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . Neu Grabowen had six inhabitants in 1867, eight in 1885 and ten in 1905. On June 3 (officially certified on 16 July) 1938 New Grabowen was for political and ideological reasons of defense foreign-sounding place names in "Neugrabenhof" renamed .
The place has belonged to Poland since 1945 and has the Polish form of name Głazowo . Today he is assigned to the Gmina Mrągowo (rural community Sensburg ) in the Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Until 1945 Neu Grabowen or Neugrabenhof was parish in the Protestant parish church of Sensburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Adalbert Sensburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Głazowo still belongs to the Protestant part of the church in Mrągowo, now called St. Trinity Church , but now assigned to the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland . The Catholic residents belong to the parish Grabowo (Grabowen , 1938-1945 Grabenhof) in the present Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .
