Dorfen is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Aßling in the district of Ebersberg .

The place is west of the core town of Aßling on the St 2079. Not far to the west flows the Schlierbach , a left tributary of the Moosach .

Attractions

The Catholic branch church of St. Aegidius is a late-Gothic hall building made of tuff stone blocks from around 1500. The polygonal choir is strongly drawn in, the northern flank tower has a steep roof . From 1877 to 1881 the building was extended to the west in a neo-Gothic form.
