history

The Weiler ( Polish Osada ) Kutzen originally only of a small hamlet, then evolved to a small rural community , which in the 1874 District Muntowen was incorporated. Until 1945 it belonged to the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 Kutzen had 21 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, Kutzen gave up its independence and was included in the neighboring municipality of Kossewen (1938 to 1945 Rechenberg , Kosewo in Polish ). As a result of the war, the small town came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish name "Kucze". Integrated into the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Kosewo, Kucze is now a village within the Gmina Mrągowo (rural municipality Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn ( Allenstein ) Voivodeship, since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
