Butteaux is a French municipality with 255 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Auxerre (until 2017 Avallon ) and the canton Saint-Florentin (until 2015 Flogny-la-Chapelle ).
geography
Butteaux is about 30 kilometers northeast of Auxerre . The Armançon delimits the municipality in the southwest. Butteaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Germigny in the north and north-west, Soumaintrain in the north and north-east, Les Croûtes in the north-east, Percey in the south and east and Jaulges in the west and south-west.
